Copy-Cat, do you copy? (Linux-Lutris question) was created by WINGER
I know there was one successful attempt at running SWAT3 under Linux-Wine back in 2013 (hyperlink to Copy-Cat's post at

)
I've tried yesterday with GOG version of SWAT3 under Lutris, and it didn't really work, probably because I didn't use so called virtual desktop to force window, and also I didn't use -nointro parameter.
I've tried using Last Resort 0.86 - even though it installed just fine, it threw me a message box with an error.
Does anyone have better experience than me with SWAT3 under Lutris? Any tips?

Okay, I've managed to run separate missions w/o Last Resort (which fails under Wine/Lutris) but the game runs like crap. I hope that some day all the community fixes will be integrated into the main executable, in order to be compatible with Wine/Lutris.

Funnily enough that's what I ended up doing while Copy Cat and Slippery Jim bumbled around trying to get the game working - it was like watching two guys trying to wrestle while covered in soap.
I decided it would be too much of a hassle to set up a Pre Windows 10 system (Windows 11 is no longer allowed online) and started fiddling with getting it running on one of my Linux machines.
After about 2-3 hours I finally got it all working. Installed Wine and Winetricks, manually setup a 32 bit prefix, installed the dotnet 45 (for Last Resort), copied my install folder from Windows, nabbed a warez cd key, got Last Resort updated to the latest, fixed the addresses for the account Wizard, got an account made, but couldn't get the login to work - possibly cause of hardcoded outdated server addresses in the exe?
Game runs flawlessly for me and that's on a laptop with a Comet Lake era Intel UHD graphics chipset.

Check your Swat.ini file to make sure the paths are correct. Sometimes Last Resort screws it up.
